Denenchofu Seseragi Park

A Tranquil Blend of Greenery and Water Near the Tama River

Denenchofu Seseragi Park is a beautiful green space resting roughly five minutes from the Tama River’s banks. Enveloped by trees, this lush area showcases springs and waterfalls and even has three flood control ponds that have become the habitats of various aquatic creatures. The park’s wooden hut and gazebo serve as perfect places where you can rest and admire the seasonal nature. In spring, cherry blossoms color the area pastel pink, and in autumn, the Japanese maples turn vivid red.

Children can enjoy cycling, skateboarding, and playing in the multipurpose square near the park’s east gate. Another key highlight of the park is the Denenchofu Seseragi Hall, designed by acclaimed architect Kengo Kuma and opened in 2020. The multifunctional hall features resting lounges, hands-on learning rooms, the Seseragi Bunko library, and a cafe.
