Misono Shrine Mikoshi Procession

A joyful and energetic highlight of the festival!

The mikoshi (portable shrine)procession of Misono Shrine is a highlight of local summer festival.Community members carry the elaborately decorated mikoshi through the streets to bring good fortune and blessing to the neighborhood.Accompanied by traditional music and  chants,the lively procession showcases deep-rooted Japanese culture and festive spirit.

 Children's Mikoshi and Taiko Drum Parade                                                     Children carry their own smaller mikoshi (portable Shrines)through the streets,calling out in rhythm as taiko drums echo nearby.This hearthwarming parade is full of energy,tradition with youthful spirit.

 5-minute walk from the west exit of JR Kamata Station

Access: Go straight along the bus route in front of the west exit of Kamata Station, and you will find the shrine on the right side just before the Ikegami Line tracks
